about
This song was written by Phil Varone in 1993 while recording Saigon Kick's third record. After re-recording the music some thirty years later, Phil gave it to Cian Coey, and she wrote new lyrics and melody. This is the first of many new songs scheduled to release.
lyrics
and out of nowhere you appear
why start reaching out to me again
why do the broken hearts survive to live the life that we can only imagine
give me your soul
Is there a light and how can we be it
where is the light and how do we see it
it ripped through my soul
every soul has a purpose,
and maybe mine is you
every one of you
I'm just a human who's in need
heal my wounds, make me bleed
just be there for me
every soul has a purpose, and maybe mine is you
every soul has a purpose, give me your soul
stand up, show yourself to me
your scars, your soul
I'll give you every breath of all that's left of me
how does it go when we go on?
every soul has a purpose, and maybe mine is you
every soul has a purpose, give me your soul
